During the 2010 elections, Grand Central consulted on two successful campaigns for statewide office in New York, as well as for several Congressional Democrats facing their strongest challengers in years, including Representatives Rush Holt (NJ), Frank Pallone (NJ), Tim Bishop (NY) and Carolyn McCarthy (NY). The firm also consulted on over a dozen other races throughout the country at the federal, state, and local levels.
In the private and non-profit sectors, Grand Central has conducted research on behalf of a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies and business coalitions to health care institutions and education reform organizations.
Adam Herbsman, Founder
Adam Herbsman has over a decade of experience in strategic research and communications in both the public and private sectors. Prior to founding Grand Central Consulting, Adam managed opposition research efforts for the re-election campaign of New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, where the research team was instrumental in narrowing a 15-point deficit to a dead heat going into Election Day.
In the political arena, Adam has conducted research for Democratic candidates for public office at all levels of government, as well as party committees and advocacy groups throughout the country. In addition, Adam’s experience includes working on the staff of the Clinton/Gore ’96 campaign and three years as an aide in the United States Senate. Over the course of his career Adam has also worked in public relations, serving clients in the asset management, technology, transportation, health care, and non-profit sectors.
Adam earned his B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University and received his Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration, with a concentration in Media and Public Affairs, from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
